The practice on Tuesday evening (4/23/2013) we only had 4 players show up for practice. Our game last Saturday showed that we all need practice in breaking the press and running plays offensive. We cannot learn these skills if we don’t have players show up for practice.

We have several players who have missed a number of practices and several games. First, if you are not going to be at the game I need to know. It is difficult to plan a roster for the game during the game! Secondly, I need to be informed if you are going to miss practice. Players who miss practices during the week without valid excuses may sit on the bench during the game.

I don’t like having to resort to benching players, but when we have players don’t come to practice and don’t know what we have worked on through the week getting the same play time as those who come to every practice isn’t fair.

I am expecting everyone to be at practice this Thursday unless you notifying me ahead of time. Though winning is not everything we have players who work hard. It is unfair to loose these games trying to make sure everyone has equal play time when we have players not coming to practice.

We had a good showing for our first practice. I hope to see everyone on Tuesday of this week (3/19/2013). We have two weeks to get ready for our first game. We have so much to learn before that first game.

Welcome to or back to Knights Basketball. I’ll being calling everyone to let them know when and where practices are. Everyone last season remembers some challenges in getting courts. I will be reserving courts but cannot complete the process until the official beginning of the season as I need a couch’s certificate from the league for insurance reasons.

Since I haven’t reserved courts we’ll be tentative until I get them. We will be planning on practicing Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm (just an hour).

Our first practice will be this Thursday at 6:00 pm. The season is scheduled to start Saturday over Easter Weekend. Please let me know if this will be an issue as I would like press this with the league before schedules come out.

Last Week Before Season

This is our last week of practices before the season starts. Everyone needs to attend both practices this week as we will be working on offense and defense.

If you will not be able to attend, please let me know ahead of time.

We have less than two weeks until our first game. It is very important that everyone make the next three practices.

Our last two practices we had 7 out of 9 and 5 of 10 players. Wednesday practices are mandatory as is next Saturday’s. If you have a conflict with the scheduled practices, please contact me directly.
